Using only native varieties – Cobrançosa, Verdeal Transmontana, and Madural – we produce LBB olive oil, a true expression of the soul of Trás-os-Montes. Inspired by her father’s teachings and driven by the desire to preserve family tradition, combining it with modern and sustainable agricultural practices, Carla decided to bring the LBB brand to life. The creation of the name “LBB” reflects a deep and personal tribute from Carla to her father, and each letter symbolizes respect, admiration, and the continuity of his essence.
This project not only honors the art of local olive growing but also offers new opportunities to the community, creating an impact that goes beyond olive oil production, an example of how innovation and roots can walk hand in hand to celebrate the richness of Trás-os-Montes and the centuries-old art of olive oil.

In the picturesque village of Lilela, in the heart of the warm Transmontana region, where mountains and olive groves tell ancestral stories, a unique project was born, led by Carla Chaves Barroso. A lawyer by profession, Carla has always had a special connection to her homeland and the family tradition of olive growing, perpetuated by her father, Luiz Barroso Baptista.
